SHOP MANAGER

Glass Depots USA is looking to employ a TECHNICALLY savvy, potentially BUSINESS minded, hard working person, to work, train, take instruction, and learn about the commercial and residential glass industry. The "apprenticed" position does not necessarily require experience in the industry, although potential candidates would preferably have knowledge of the glass industry.
The right ATTITUDE and willingness to be taught are a must.
The goal is to teach qualified candidates to become responsible business managers with all the related skills to manage other employees and the operations by themselves, becoming familiar with all aspects & responsibilities of running a stand alone glass service business.
Excellent, well spoken installers/mechanics/glaziers who feel they are accomplished and are business/sales oriented would be good candidates for this position. The estimated apprentice time is from 18 to 36 months, depending on the aptitude of the person.

Skills/ Job Requirements
Qualifying and successful candidates must have good communication and organizational skills, which will be sharpened with on the job training.
A strong work ethic, taking pride in one’s work, willing to take instruction and study, and be reliable are a must.
Candidates must be able to work physically, be comfortable using power tools, be able to lift 100 lbs, have a clean driving record, be able to read a tape measure and have good number skills. Dealing with customers each day also requires willingness to look and dress appropriately, and be polite and professional at all times.
